The Finishing Edge 2024

Victory Churches Canada (VCC) and The George & Hazel Hill Victory Support Foundation (GHF) will be once again offering the very successful and incredibly fruitful “Finishing Edge” course.

Right from the very beginning it has been Victory’s objective to equip and release people into Five-Fold Ministries within our Victory Churches, both nationally and internationally. We are looking for individuals with a developing Five-Fold (Ephesians 4:11) call to serve as Senior and Associate Ministers, Music, Children, and Youth Ministers, in both national and international capacities.

“The Finishing Edge” is a total immersion course presented by some of our most experienced leaders, including Drs. George and Hazel Hill. The course involves teaching, coaching, personal interviews, and evaluations for each student. The class size will be limited to 25 students.

In order for an applicant to be considered for eligibility we require the following:

• Pastor’s recommendation of individuals who have:
  • Proven character and some ministry experience,
  • A definite call into full time Christian service or a retired and/or self-supporting person willing to serve in various areas of ministry nationally and internationally.
• A completed application form.
• Registration fee.

Course Time and Location:

July 8^th – 11^th at Victory Village, Calgary, Alberta, Canada

Pre-Course Assignments:

Once an individual has been accepted into the “Finishing Edge” course they will be required to complete the following before coming to the course:

1. Read “Planting Healthy Growing Churches” – G.S. Hill / B.T. Dewar and write a 1000-word essay “How I would use my gift to help plant/grow a local church.”
2. Read and write a 1000-word book report on “Covenant Relationships” by Drs. George and Hazel Hill

All students will receive:

• A Finishing Edge Certificate for qualifying and completing this course.
• A recommendation for ministry development or ministry opportunity.

Finishing Edge is a cooperative effort between VCC, GHF, and the local church. For qualifying candidates VCC and GHF are each willing to match the local church’s contribution up to $1,000 a month for up to 6 months, to help sponsor those that complete “The Finishing Edge” course and are recommended for a full-time position. Those who qualify for the matching grants would be required to work full time in ministry, having no secular job. This requires sacrifice from the individual, the local church, and VCC and we know that sacrifice is what releases the miracle working power of God..

Cost: Registration fee:

• $200 - Single person
• $250 - Married couple
• $50 of this registration fee must accompany application (non-refundable)

The Finishing Edge in Calgary will have accommodation and meals available within the Victory Village complex.

Accommodation: 3 nights + 9 meals:

• Single occupancy $195 + $150 = $345
• Double occupancy $225 + $300 = $525
