VCI Thailand Assists Flood Victims
Fall 2024 saw the worst flooding on the northern border of Thailand in the last 100 years. The congregation of Victory Church in Mae Sai, pastored by Kris and Tabitha Pagan, spent many hours bringing aid to the families who lost everything in the flood. They saw families come to the Lord as a result of caring for the people. Thank you Victory Churches for your contribution in assisting VCI Thailand.
Young Lions of Asia
The Victory Asia national leaders met together along with the next generation of leaders at the Victory Asia Summit Conference, October 2024.
VCC representative, Pastor Matt Funk, traveled to Thailand to minister alongside the local leaders at this conference.
Devastating Fires in the D.R. Congo
In August 2024, a devastating fire destroyed the homes of 11 members of Victory Churches in the D.R. Congo. National leader for the Congo, Bishop Uwezo Amisi, reached out to Victory Churches for assistance. Victory Churches Canada released the funds to assist with the rebuilding of new homes. TO GOD BE THE GLORY!
Raising Up Leaders in India
In November of 2024 Pastor Terry Murphy, President of Victory Churches Canada, and Pastor Dave Meyers, Vice-President of Victory Churches Canada, traveled to India on a mission trip. They ministered in 3 cities to over 700 pastors and leaders. visited slum schools and graduated the 2024 class of students from Victory Bible College in India. The pastors and leaders were greatly encouraged as were Pastors Terry & Dave. Watch for an upcoming video detailing their trip.
Upgrade at Victory Children’s Home in Kenya
The Victory Children’s Home facility in Kisumu, Kenya received some much needed upgrades this year. A team from Grande Prairie, AB, led by Pastor Paul Juss, visited the home in November and took on many construction projects. Most importantly was the construction and erecting of a new water tower at the facility that will provide fresh clean water to everyone in the complex. A huge thank you to those who contributed to make all of this possible.
Abundant Opportunities to Serve in México
Mexico is overflowing with an abundance of opportunity for missions teams. This past year, Pastor Paul Juss oversaw 5 teams that traveled to the missions base in Ensenada, Mexico. Team members ranged in age from 12 years old to senior citizens. The next team, led by Pastor Paul Juss, will be going February 19-26, 2025. During that trip they will be dedicating a new church that was constructed in Choyal, one of the poorest slum areas of Ensenada.
A Blessed Trip to Africa
In August of 2024, Pastor Brad Dewar, Dean of Victory Bible College, set out on a mission to tour 3 of the Victory Afro nations and visit the Victory Bible Colleges there. He spent nearly a month traveling to Ethiopia, Kenya, and Tanzania. He was absolutely blessed by what he found and the reports that have come out of the trip are encouraging and we are so excited to see the fruit from this trip over the next couple of years.
