Tom Schumacher and his wife, Elizabeth, felt called by God to serve as missionaries in Burma by establishing a children’s home and a Bible school training center. Acting on that calling, they purchased property and began building the campus. They welcomed children from extremely poor villages where education, medical care, and spiritual support are often very limited. Their mission has been to give these children a safe place to live while also showing them the love of Jesus, helping them understand that they are seen, valued, and deeply loved by God.

Over time, through God’s faithfulness and the support of generous partners, the ministry has grown to include a girls’ dorm, a boys’ dorm, a chapel with living quarters, gardens and a rice field. Now they are building a new two-story building with a kitchen that will help feed all of the children. Some of the children have also gone on to study in the Bible training center, continuing their spiritual and personal growth. Tom explains that the legacy they hope to leave is one of faith, love, education, and practical life skills. Tom and Elizabeth share a heartfelt thanks to all who have supported this work and prayed for them, and for their country.
