Called to Go - Why Missions Matters

Missions isn’t just a program—it’s a reflection of God’s heart. From Genesis to Revelation, God reveals Himself as a missional God, actively pursuing the redemption and restoration of His creation. As His Church, we are called to mirror that mission, extending His love and grace to a world in need.

At the core of missions is the proclamation of the gospel and the expansion of the kingdom of God through church planting, outreach and ministry. It’s about reaching the unreached, both globally and locally, with the transformative message of Christ. Every mission effort, whether across oceans or across the street, plays a vital role in fulfilling the Great Commission.

Missions also unite the body of Christ. By engaging with diverse cultures and perspectives, we as believers grow in empathy, understanding, and shared purpose. This unity strengthens the Church and amplifies the glory of God to the world.

On a personal level, missions are transformative. Whether serving abroad, supporting missionaries, or engaging in local outreach, individuals experience spiritual growth, renewed purpose, and a deeper connection to God’s heart. Missions stretch our faith, challenge our comfort zones, and awaken us to the vastness of God’s work.

Finally, missions inspire the next generation to live boldly for Christ and bring glory to God. Every soul reached, every life changed, is a testament to His greatness. Missions matter—because God’s glory is worth sharing with the world.

“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” – Matt 5:16
